I have written a couple of items about the release of the updated 645 PRO Mk III. The developers have incorporated manual controls that the new APIs with iOS 8 now allow. Yesterday I left my DSLR camera at home and used the app while I was out in Bangkok, with some fairly pleasing results.

This morning, along with a number of other apps shown in iTunes, there is an update to 645 Pro Mk III, bringing it to version 4.01.1 (on my iPhone), with the following changes reported:

  • Focus peaking mode enhanced and refined
  • AE Night Mode indicator now hides as intended
  • Hardware shutter release works as intended
  • Better handling of disabled Location Services
  • Shutter priority problems at low ISO fixed
