Following the announcement of the Apple Event in the United States, many were surprised to see another announcement from Apple concerning a like event in China, signalling immediately the importance of this market.

However, John Paczkowski, writing on All Things Digital, reports that as well as the event in China there are to be two more "satellite events" held in Berlin and Tokyo.

With some analysts worrying over the dearth of new products from Apple in the last few months (which is actually only the 3 months since June), this appears to be a fairly large comment from Cupertino. With the wider spread of events, it may well be that there is more hardware to be announced than just the next iPhone.
