The 12 Days of Christmas app that was released on 10 December (updated on 20 Dec) started to deliver its free gifts today as promised. I downloaded it a few days ago. When I opened the app this morning (several hours ahead of the USA of course) my first freebie was shown as a Justin Timberlake single.

12 Days 12 Days 12 Days

When I tapped on the link, the panel showed 4 tunes, rather than one: all live recordings of Timberlake at the iTunes Festival. Two were videos. The tunes were:

  • SexyBack (4:37)
  • Take Back the Night (5:37)
  • True Blood (5 min. video)
  • TKO (4:44 video)

The performance of True Blood and TKO have good video quality on the iPhone. I will try these using my Apple TV later.

I wonder what Apple's next gift will be: a good start so far.
