It has just been announced that Transport Tycoon is aiming for a simultaneous launch on iOS and Android devices on 3 October. This is the rejuvenated version of the original product that was developed by Chris Sawyer and was available on PCs several years ago.

A short video of the new version is available on YouTube. This video shows a number of useful clips from the game indicating that it retains the flavour of the original. There are also several screenshots online that are downloaded from the link.

The 64MB download contains some 20 images, each around 3 MB, with a resolution of 2048 x 1536.

For those in (or visiting) the UK, the developers will be at the Eurogamer Expo in London from 26 to 29 September and say, "if you're heading over please do come to say hi! You can pop by our stand, have a play of the game, and maybe win some limited edition Transport Tycoon swag!"

More information is available at the Transport Tycoon website where those interested may sign up or link to Twitter and Facebook pages.
