With the arrival of OS X 10.9, Mavericks, expected later this month or even (according to some sources) a little later, in October, developers are looking to upgrade their products for the new version.

A report by Russ Looney on The Game Agent - a blog that covers gaming software - tells users that, in the future, Aspyr (makers of games like Star Wars and Call of Duty) will no longer release patches or updates for the versions that run on Snow Leopard.

With the Apyr user base running OS X 10.6 now falling to some 8%, most have switched to later versions of the Apple OS. The suggestions for users included in the blog item are: Upgrade your operating system and/or Mac; and Continue to use OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard (with no upgrades of patches).

Further information and a number of links are available in the article
