Along with many companies that use facilities in China, Epson's Singapore subsidiary, Singapore Epson Industrial Pte. Ltd., has created a new new production and sales site in the city of Zhenjiang. This is on China's Eastern seaboard. The purpose of the new facility is to expand its surface processing business.

The Singapore company was established as a production center for Epson's imaging and information business and watch business and expanded in 1979 to provide more surface processing services to customers in industries such as electronics, aerospace, oil and gas, and automotive. The business has expanded and the company has invested much capital in the facility.

However with continuing expansion in demand the new facility in the Eco Plating Specialized Zone in an industrial park in Zhenjiang, was begun. As well as the advanced equipment that is a feature of the Singapore facility, the new factory also has energy-saving and other eco-considerate features, including industrial water recycling facilities. The new Zhenjiang facility recently began accepting production orders.

More information on this new factory is available from Epson in Singapore.
