In recent weeks, supply problems with the latest iMac computers, have meant delays up to 4 weeks in some markets. Over the weekend Mark Gurman on 9to5 Mac reported that the latest shipping times are showing 1 - 3 business days in the US shop. I checked the online Apple store for Thailand and the delays up till Monday morning were still showing 2 - 3 weeks for the 21.5" models and 3 - 4 weeks for the 27" ones. However. . . .

More reports overnight from AppleInsider told us that the shipping times had now improved in Europe but that there were still delays reported for the US online stores. While Michael Grothaus on TUAW wrote that "ship times for both the standard 21.5-inch and 27-inch models improved to one to three business days in both the Canadian and US Apple online stores."

The situation for those in Thailand has also improved with a change in the last 24 hours to show shipping times for the 21.5" iMac to be 3-5 business days and the 27" models to be 1-3 business days. Prices for the 21.5" models start at 42,900 baht with a 2.7 GHz quad-core i5 processor and 59,900 baht for the 2.9 GHz quad-core i5 processor and there is free shipping (usually DHL delivery here). Remember also that there is a discount for education buyers. Users eligible for this should use the Education link at the bottom of the page.
