Many people only see the Bangkok to the East of the Chao Phraya River. I live on the other side where there are many sights that are equally interesting if you look carefully. Perhaps not spectacular in the way of tourist-centric areas, but with own beauty, made more so by the people.

I have lived on the Thonburi side for many years and far prefer it. It seems sometimes like part of a forgotten land. I am looking at this other Bangkok as an extended photographic essay that has been in the planning for a while. To start the ball rolling, I had an early start earlier this week to capture some photographs of early morning atmosphere. In this second part, I ventured a little further up the main section and a little later in the day when people had started moving.

Some notes about the images after the comments I was sent concerning the first part. I hope the photographs speak for themselves. If you need captions, you need more imagination. As regards the watermarking, I take the point. While there is a diminishing of the image as a whole, I am trying to protect my work which sometimes ends up on sites without any acknowledgement at all. I have the originals and these are available if wanted.
